Another day of cutting, glueing and trimming.
I made a cool tail light out of an electronic road flare. It had a ring of super bright red LEDs running on 4 AA batterries (6 volts). I whipped up a little regulator board to turn 12 volts into +5 and wired it to the brake lights. Since we don't have four wheels on the ground, the DMV says it's a motorcycle and only requires a single, centered tail light.
I've run out of red poly so I'm waiting for another piece to be delivered to finish the trim.
Meanwhile, my lovely wife has begun stitching the seat covers.
